Emma Navin, Head at St George’s British International School, Rome, Italy

Alison Snow, Head Nurse, International School of Basel:
“I wanted to organize a session for my team of school nurses looking at sexual health. After looking at a number of providers, I chose Vicky due to her excellent resources and Instagram page and also I felt that as she worked in an International School, she would understand our needs better. Her pre-prepared videos were excellent and very informative and covered a range of topics including puberty, contraception, teaching SEN students and so on. We followed up with a live session on Zoom and asked questions pertaining to the topics previously covered. We found Vicky to be brilliant, so knowledgeable and passionate about her subject it was contagious. She provided us with plenty of resources to take away. We will definitely use Vicky again and can’t recommend her enough.”
Viviane Mingazzini, Senior School Principal, Marymount International School, Rome, Italy:

“Today, our students and Advisors  had the privilege of attending an ATL presentation by Vicky Walsh on managing risks for adolescents, and I must say, it was enlightening and incredibly valuable. Vicky’s expertise and passion for the topic shone through as she delivered a comprehensive overview of the challenges adolescents face and practical strategies to mitigate risks.

Vicky began by outlining the myriad of risks that we encounter in today’s complex world, the scenarios ranged from walking alone in a park to partying with strangers. She emphasized the importance of understanding the developmental stage of the teen brain and how it shapes risk-taking behaviors.

Moreover, Vicky provided concrete examples and actionable tips for students in order to support them in making informed decisions and navigating risky situations. From setting clear boundaries to promoting healthy coping mechanisms, her insights were practical and applicable. The presentation underscored the crucial role we all play in supporting adolescents through their journey to adulthood and equipping them with the tools to thrive in an increasingly complex world. Thank you, Vicky, for your insights and contributions!”

Caroline Humphreys, Year 5 Teacher, The New School, Rome, Italy:
“Thank you for a very interesting and informative afternoon. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience, especially the team activities and the props you used to explain the different aspects of puberty.”
Amanda Mallia, Student & Family Support Coordinator, Northlands International School Rome, Italy:

“I am a Primary school teacher at a bilingual school in Rome, and attended a workshop in June 2023 organized for some of our teachers on setting up PSHE and SED at our school, from Early Learning through Middle School. Besides thoroughly enjoying Vicky’s straightforward and pleasant approach to both topics, we came away with lots of very useful resources, also aimed at the Italian students in our classes. I appreciated her working with us to implement a tailor-made program that would cover essential topics to insert into our busy timetable and also include them within our Circle Time and existing lessons, such as Science, PE, English Lit, History and Geography, and Media studies. Last but not least, Vicky shares her experience and knowledge by creating a setting where there is constant dialogue with the participants; and this reflects the way she teaches in class:  I was lucky enough to be invited to an open lesson of hers on SED with a group of 10 year olds in an International School where her approach was truly inspiring. I highly recommend her workshops!”
