Vicky Walsh’s sex education workshops for our middle schoolers were a tremendous success. The sessions were engaging and highly informative, capturing the students’ interest throughout. Vicky’s expertise and approachable manner provided incredible added value, making complex topics easy to understand and discuss. I wanted to organise a session for my team of school nurses looking at sexual health. After looking at a number of providers, I chose Vicky due to her excellent resources and Instagram page and also I felt that as she worked in an International School, she would understand our needs better. Her pre-prepared videos were excellent and very informative and covered a range of topics including puberty, contraception, teaching SEN students and so on. We followed up with a live session on Zoom and asked questions pertaining to the topics previously covered. We found Vicky to be brilliant, so knowledgeable and passionate about her subject it was contagious. She provided us with plenty of resources to take away. We will definitely use Vicky again and can’t recommend her enough.

Today, our students and Advisors had the privilege of attending an ATL presentation by Vicky Walsh on managing risks for adolescents, and I must say, it was enlightening and incredibly valuable. Vicky’s expertise and passion for the topic shone through as she delivered a comprehensive overview of the challenges adolescents face and practical strategies to mitigate risks. Her insights were practical and applicable. The presentation underscored the crucial role we all play in supporting adolescents through their journey to adulthood and equipping them with the tools to thrive in an increasingly complex world. I am a Primary school teacher at a bilingual school in Rome, and attended a workshop in June 2023 organised for some of our teachers on setting up PSHE and SED at our school, from Early Learning through Middle School. Besides thoroughly enjoying Vicky’s straightforward and pleasant approach to both topics, we came away with lots of very useful resources, also aimed at the Italian students in our classes. I appreciated her working with us to implement a tailor-made program that would cover essential topics to insert into our busy timetable and also include them within our Circle Time and existing lessons, such as Science, PE, English Lit, History and Geography, and Media studies. Last but not least, Vicky shares her experience and knowledge by creating a setting where there is constant dialogue with the participants; and this reflects the way she teaches in class: I was lucky enough to be invited to an open lesson of hers on SED with a group of 10 year olds in an International School where her approach was truly inspiring. I highly recommend her workshops!

Vicky is an engaging and knowledgeable guest speaker. Her experience across education shines through in the presentation. The ideas and ‘tips for teachers’ and thoughtful and creative and well supplemented by signposting to external support.

I’ve known Vicky for a number of years as an excellent and capable classroom practitioner and in my view as a Head Teacher, her passion for Relationship and sex education comes across in two ways. Firstly, the way that she delivers lessons to the children in the classroom – really developing those trusting relationships so that they feel that they can take risks and ask embarrassing questions. Secondly, within the curriculum development and the support that she’s given teachers to train them to become competent in also delivering what can be a very sensitive subject. The way that she works with the teachers to instill that confidence is outstanding.

Vicky helped us to plan, prepare and resource our new PSHE curriculum. She helped us in streamlining our content, reviewing work we had undertaken with a professional eye and offering advice in a number of areas. She structured the day to suit our needs and maximise our time whilst remaining flexible as the day proceeded, responding to what was a priority at the moment.
Vicky delivered some excellent training in RSHE to our SLT and Curriculum Leads. This enabled us to consider a number of elements in the updates to our RSHE curriculum at a strategic level. All those involved agreed that her practical, clear approach, to what can be a sensitive area, left staff feeling knowledgeable and confident.
